Special Elliptic Two-way tubing allowing very good flexibility and lower weight compared to a circular tube of the same material and internal geometry. The material chosen for the tubing is extremely non-resonate and VERY heat tolerant. Unshielded design for the hot and the neutral conductors as all other Argento cables. Shielded grounding to provide better performance with products outputting significant noise to ground (switch mode power supplies and digital products). All components are cryo-treated through an elaborate custom 48 hour three-stage cycle. Modified gold/palladium plated connectors with very high surface quality to ensure perfect interface with the wall sockets and IEC connectors. New Power Distribuion Center Argento Audio has introduced their all new power distribution center. The design is a radical departure from traditional power distribution blocks utilizing Argento designed and manufactured AC receptacles. Every part is designed and manufactured in house to the highest standards. Rather than using standard self-contained receptacles, Argento Audio has developed a new approach. By using heavy gauge 99.997% OFC copper bars in place of normal contacts, surface area with the male connector is increased, improving conductivity. Electricity flows directly to the copper bar that comes in contact with each prong of an inserted male plug. Power distribution blocks generally use standard duplex outlets with brass contacts. They are then daisy chained with ordinary wire. Argentoís new system reduces the number of connection points resulting in far superior performance. There are no wires inside the unit and only three contacts. In addition to providing excellent electrical characteristics, the mechanical characteristics are equally outstanding. Male plugs inserted into the AC outlets are held firmly in place, unlike most outlets that cannot fully support heavy power cables.
